Solutions Based on Novell Server OS

About

System Info for Novell Server OS Projects, I describe here, are both first and last development experience for Novell Server OS. First one, System Information(R), display animated server date and time, system volume free space and capacity, Merfy Law (Russiun only), CPU Utilization, server name and version, and any Novell volume free space and capacity. Second, Fire Time, demonstrate of using multimedia tech on Novell Server OS. Background animated fire is imported from AVI movie using 3D Studio MAX and special VB Programm. Both projects are most reliable, because files/multithreading and other "breakneck" techniques was not used. Any fonts, animations, etc. was converted into C source. They are implicitly loading whith the executable. Both projects are running on company servers 24 hours 7 day per week.

Installation

It was sayed, both projects do not use any external setting or resources. Just copy file into some Novell vol and add 'Load xxx.nlm' into autoexec.ncf

Configuration

Fire Time For Novell Server OS By default, you do not need any configuration procedure. Just Set proper date/time on server. However NW OS System Info Apllication has Russian support. Just add ru command line parameter. English is the default language. For example,
    NW4FS:load vlad4x.nlm ru
Note. Both System Info modules has the vladinfo module name. To unload 'NW OS System Info' use unload vladutil.
